Advocacy

At The Dementia Foundation, advocacy means being a strong voice not only for those living with neurocognitive conditions but for their families as well.

We understand the challenges that come with navigating complex support systems and we’re here to ensure that you are heard and respected.

Advocacy
Our approach: A strong voice for you

Our advocacy service is all about making sure you receive the support and understanding you deserve in your personal dealings with the NDIS and, at a broader level, as a person impacted by younger onset dementia.

The experienced team at The Dementia Foundation understand the ins and outs of the care system and while we believe in empowering you to advocate for yourself, we’re always here to step in if you feel that something’s not right.

Family advocacy is a crucial part of our service. Younger onset dementia affects the whole family unit and we work to ensure that both you and your loved ones have adequate support. Keeping carer stress levels down is vital!

We actively seek to raise awareness of the unique needs of people living with neurocognitive disorders across Western Australia.
