NDIS Registration & Compliance

NDIS Registered & Committed to Excellence

The Dementia Foundation is a proud NDIS registered provider specialising in services for people with young onset dementia. All our programs comply with the NDIS Practice Standards, ensuring consistent quality, safety, and participant outcomes.

What Being Registered Means

As a registered provider, we meet strict requirements for:

  • Participant rights and service agreements
  • Complaints and incident management
  • Workforce training and supervision
  • Continuous improvement and outcome tracking
  • Privacy, governance and risk management

We are audited by an independent NDIS approved quality auditor to maintain our registration and high standards.

How We Support NDIS Participants

We provide the following NDIS-funded services:

  • Supported Independent Living (SIL)
  • In-home Community Support
  • Behaviour Support Planning
  • Specialist Support Coordination

All supports are tailored to the cognitive, emotional and behavioural needs of younger people living with dementia — including those navigating complex symptoms such as executive dysfunction, memory loss, or behavioural changes.

Staff Qualifications & Training

All support workers meet or exceed NDIS requirements, including:

  • Dementia specific behaviour and communication training
  • Worker Screening and Orientation
  • Medication, meals, manual handling, infection control
  • Ongoing professional development

Every client receives a personalised support plan created with them and their carers, reviewed regularly, and adapted as their needs change.

Our Commitment to Compliance & Quality

We go beyond minimum standards, ensuring:

  • Signed service agreements and consent forms
  • Incident reporting systems and whistleblower policies
  • Weekly Care Committee reviews and feedback sessions
  • Recorded service delivery data and progress reporting

Our internal processes are designed not only to meet compliance, but to raise the bar for what quality dementia care and support should look like in Australia.
