Management Committee

The Dementia Foundation is proudly governed by a Management Committee made up of experienced professionals who bring expertise in health, governance, finance, and advocacy. As a registered not for profit organisation, we do not have shareholders, our Management Committee ensures that every decision is made in the best interests of the community. This team provides strategic leadership, maintains financial accountability, and upholds the quality of our services. All profits are reinvested into programs that directly support individuals and families living with young onset dementia.

Meet our team

Holly Meijer

Group Chief Executive Officer, Deputy Committee Chair
Holly leads and governs the NDIS program and other operational functions across the organisation, with a strong focus on financial strategy, governance, and operational oversight. With extensive experience in finance and a commitment to strong financial management, Holly supports the Foundation’s long term sustainability and impact. Holly also contributes to leadership and mentoring, helping to develop future professionals in the field.

Brett Parker

Committee Chair, Chief Economist
Brett is responsible for setting the strategy and growth objectives for The Dementia Foundation. He leads the development of new business opportunities and manages the property portfolio. Brett provides external advisory services for special projects, contributing to the Foundation’s long term success and sustainability.

Ein Eric

Group Chief Operating Officer
With over 2 decades of management experience, Ein is a seasoned professional including coaching at the national level for the Socceroos. Ein’s executive management experiences crosses across Education, Transport and Government.

Karen Orchard

Executive Assistant
With extensive corporate experience within the C suite, Karen bring a refinement and polish to the corporate side of the business offering technical and supportive assistance across the c-suite to ensure sound governance and timely delivery of communication to government and community stakeholders alike.

Jo Stewart

Executive Officer
Jo is the backbone and strength of The Dementia Foundation operations. With a key eye for detail and what can only be described as extrasensory perception, Jo supports the entire organisation in its governance, document control and daily activities.

Lin Koh

Group Accountant
Lin brings a wealth of Australian and international accounting and finance experience to The Dementia Foundation. With a passion for numbers and reporting, Lin offers new insights into the business NDIS finance model.

Jane Chen

Accountant
With a dynamic experience across aged care and disability services, Jane is a professional accountant with an eye for detail and compliance with extensive experience in reconciliations taking pride in finding any discrepancies.

Andrea Chen

Management Accountant
With a strong background in finance and business operations, Andrea brings expertise in financial analysis, information systems and process improvement. She is passionate about ensuring accuracy, streamlining operations and supporting informed business decisions.

Emily Lin

Operations Accountant
With experience in accounting and taxation, Emily has a solid foundation in tax preparation, financial reporting and record management, with a focus on accuracy, efficiency and reliable financial support.

Patrick Chieng

Business Support Officer
Patrick plays an important role in coordinating personalised support services, ensuring our clients receive the right care from the right people at the right time. From organising community access and in home support, Patrick works closely with support teams to ensure care remains consistent and reliable.

Ka Poh Yew

Business Support Officer
With a background in hospitality management and customer service, Ka Poh brings a person centred approach and strong organisational skills to the team. Passionate about helping others and creating positive experiences, Ka Poh enjoys building meaningful connections and ensuring day to day operations run smoothly.

Darryl Cook

Group Manager Service Operations
Darryl brings a track record of success and innovation to his work and has extensive management of best practice service delivery across Aged Care and NDIS. Darryl’s extensive role is to deliver and lead a large technical team of dementia support and program specialists whilst working along side the c-suite to achieve the organisations strategic goals and objectives. Darryl is also required to work along side the organisations own Centre for Applied Dementia Research to explore hypothesis, provide field evacuations and support the research team’s needs.

James Gurney

Accommodation and Community Manger
With a special interest in dementia studies and the journey that follows, James has a special talent for connection and understanding. With a naturally curious mindset, James is looking for the right solution ensuring services and strategies are truly unique to each person and their family. Thinking outside the box, James focuses on applying collective ideas and resources to achieve what can often be impossible for so many.

Martha Hernandez

Service Manager
Martha is a professional dietician who has been in Australia for almost a decade. Bringing extensive experience across different life domains and government sectors including Aged Care and NDIS. Her portfolio is centred within the dementia discipline and Martha leads her team across large areas of the Perth metropolitan area. Martha’s skills are also invaluable as an inhouse mentor for those who join. Martha is fluent in English and Spanish.

Lingkun Fang

Service Manager
Lingkun has a professional nursing background that saw him experience the ED in hospitals and allowed him to develop his highly skilled ability to work under pressure and to identify how to prioritse health matters. With a clinical mindset and background, Lingkun champions the clinical approach in the dementia services under the stewardship of Darryl Cook. Lingkun is part of the mentorship team ensuring service and support staff are able to be trained and mentored in the technical and professional settings dedicated dementia programs require.

Tim Nixon

Specialist Support Coordinator
With a strong focus on ensuring value for money and services representing what is needed, Tim is always an advocate for his clients. Committed to best practice, Tim ensures compliance and high-quality service aligned with NDIS standards and our organisational values.

Camila Silva

Team Leader
With a dedicated person centred approach and strong leadership skills, Camila is a dedicated Team Leader who is responsible for her team of support staff and takes responsibility for her clients and families. With a solution focused mindset, Camila ensures her support services are delivered in a safe and communicative way to all stakeholders and seeks additional allied health support as life changes are experienced within the services she manages day to day.

Isabelle Lotena

Team Leader
With 8 years of experience in the care sector, Isabelle is a compassionate and committed professional dedicated to supporting individuals and families. Isabelle values strong communication, empathy, and relationship-building, and take pride in creating safe, nurturing environments where people feel respected, supported, and empowered to thrive.

Jo Nathan

Client Experience Officer
Jo is our dedicated Client Experience Officer, specialising in person-centred, community-based activities. She coordinates initiatives like the Men’s Friendship Group and Gathering Ground coffee meetups. Jo implements person centred dementia-friendly programs to ensure all activities are inclusive, stimulating, and supportive for those living with cognitive challenges.

Dr Hajar Ziaeifar, PhD, MPH

Research Officer
Hajar brings a passion for public health, community wellbeing and evidence based research to The Dementia Foundation. With a background in health promotion, public health research and community health initiatives, she has contributed to projects addressing healthy ageing, dementia care and the needs of diverse and underserved communities.

Her work combines research and a strong commitment to culturally responsive approaches that put people first. At the Centre for Applied Research, Hajar is focused on translating scientific research into meaningful insights that create opportunities for a better everyday experience for people living with dementia and those who support them.

Sonam Lhamo

Training Coordinator
With two years of experience as educator and three years in care sector, Sonam brings diverse experience across disability support, community health and education. With a strong commitment to person centred practice and inclusive learning. Sonam focuses on developing engaging, practical and evidence based training that connects knowledge with real world practice. She is passionate about empowering individuals and strengthening support practices. Sonam is dedicated to promoting meaningful learning experiences and positive outcomes for individuals, families and communities.

Millinia Mutami

PhD Candidate l Research Intern
Millinia is a PhD candidate at Edith Cowan University, bringing a strong background in information technology, artificial intelligence and digital innovation to the team. Passionate about exploring how technology and research can improve access to support services, she is currently undertaking a research internship focused on mapping NDIS services. Through her work, Millinia aims to contribute to a better understanding of available support options and pathways, helping make services more accessible and easier to navigate for people with disability.
